Visit by the High Power Central Team

A high power central team visited different parts of the Darjeeling hills to know about the problems and developmental issues. However, they did not seem much interested about health care problems and problems plaguing the health care delivery system in the region. It is sad that these sort of teams, which are to present the ground realities to the government for enabling appropriate corrective measures, do their job perfunctorily defeating the very purpose of their being sent here by the government.

World Rabies Day

Today, the 28th of September is the World Rabies Day. Rabies is a 100% fatal disease, which can be easily prevented by the concerted efforts of the medical fraternity, the community and some other allied departments. Let us all join hands in spreading awareness regarding rabies and its prevention.
